I can only imagine what staying "American" means. The rest of your post is full of nonsense.
Think not moving the US to a European style social democracy and that pretty much covers it.

She is just a mouth piece... and can do nothing more than spew out the latest talking points. I think America will be ready to end this nightmare we have been experiencing since 2007. You will see a lot of fiscally conservative people line up.
I am not from New Jersey... but I like the way Chris Christie is dealing with the budget crisis in that state. Raising taxes is a last resort and cutting spending is priority. So far he has the teachers union in NJ pissed so he is doing something right. He is also smart enough to not follow in the footsteps of the Governor of New York who caused a mass exodus of the wealthiest residents. He will be one to watch.
It is easier to be a better campaigner when all you have to do is point at your competition and say "He sucks"Except no other non-Obama candidate consistently sniffs 50%+ in any series of significant polling data, so it's entirely irrelevant. And this is the absolute rock bottom low point for the administration with the BP spill, no benefits from healthcare coming until later this year, and the economy taking a very temporary dive due to European debt issues. The spill will of course go away eventually and the economy will improve, so it really won't be difficult for Obama to maintain around 50%. He blew out the most liberal guy the Repubs could get in 08, won't be terribly surprising if he holds on for a 2nd term, and the smart money is on exactly that. Plus, again, we know who is a better speaker, campaigner, and disciplined debater, if you in particular didn't see it between the two in 08. You have to absolutely bank on a complete unknown, that's just the reality.
Yes. I did not vote for Bush either time. President Bush was a decent President himself, but his problem was he surrounded himself with political morons. Cheney was a complete disgrace. Rumsfeld was just terrible. Rice was nothing to write home about either. Ashcroft and all 3 of his Secs for Treasuer were walking jokes. And with people like Rove always in his corner with his rhetoric just magnified Bush's poor choice in surrounding himself with competant people who were interested in the country's business. These folks with several others kept his entire presidency in scandals.
They have no one to run against him so it'll be Obama for another term. Obama is a better campaigner period, substance or not. Plus he and the Dems will have more money. Conservatives are just going to have to get used to the idea that Bush fucked them over for a good decade or so.

Hope & change won't work in 2012. Instead Obama will have to run on his record and at this point his record is a disaster.

Is there a way to save a thread? It's hilarious to see predictions that he's going to lose, as if there's someone who actually is going to beat him.
He's running like 50/50 in generic ballots righ now... it's dumb to say that he's unbeatable. It just depends on how the country is looking in 2 years and who the republicans nominate.
all the Republicans need to do to stand a fighting chance is nominate someone who's palatable to the center/right and appealing to deficit hawks, imo.So?
Bush, literally killed the Republican Party, Reaganomics, Neo-Conservationism. McCain and The Republican Party made a fool out themselves last year and are continuing to do so. The only contenders we have for POTUS are Bobby Jindahl who sounds like a whiny bitch and isn't white, Mitt Romney who is a Mormon which is alternate spelling or moron. There's Tim Plawnty(sp?) but he's probably not conservative enough and he's just not that spectacular either.
So, who has the power to beat Obama? No one.
It will be Rick Perry of Texas with Christe of NJ as his running mate.
Write it down now![]()
If he runs an ad campaign with shots like this, how can he lose ?

If the Republicans can offer up a halfway decent candidate (not Palin or a Tea Partier) but rather someone like Romney then I think Obama will lose.
Google "Man's Country Obama".Dud the photographer just snap the picture at an inopportune time? I never figured Obama to run like a girl.
loki, I've wanted to tell you for the longest time, that you're oftentimes the most clear thinker here. You're right on target with this one.all the Republicans need to do to stand a fighting chance is nominate someone who's palatable to the center/right and appealing to deficit hawks, imo.
the hard right that thinks Obama is a socialist Kenyan is going to turn out and vote practically regardless of who the GOP nominates... I wouldn't be so willing to say the same for the left, especially the students that propelled Obama to victory, if the economy hasn't turned around by 2012 and if Obama continues to refuse to champion his base's issues.
The problem for the republicans will be finding a candidate who can bridge the tea party/ mainstream divide. The only one theoretically capable of that out of those 3 is Paul Ryan, but he has a pretty thin record limited to failed legislation.
Sarah Palin might be popular amongst the Hannity/Beck/Rush crowd, but just because they're loud doesn't mean they're numerous... their 2008 Chosen Ones fell completely flat in the primaries (Huckabee, Thompson, Romeny)If I were a republican I would distance myself as far away from the words "tea party".
I'm all for change, hopefully on the republican side they can pick someone that is sane, smart and down to earth with the people. I have my doubts.
I really hate to say this but they are really prepping Pailin to be the front runner and to be honest I see no one else pulling in front of her. If they do pick her to do the tea bagging then that's all it's gonna amount too.
Bottom line is it's too soon to make a decision till the R's in this fucked up 2 party corrupted system we have make a choice. As usual, it doesn't matter since I'm voting sixth party again.
