Does anyone think Obama will refernce some MLK or the like if he wins?

Because if he does win he would have pretty much accompished what MKL and the other equal rights people were after.

"Free at last. Free at last. Thank god we are free at last."

If he said that in his speech it would be epic.

I don't think he would, but does anyone else?

probably not... doesn't really matter, though. he could go up there and say "fuck you, bitches" and the media / his acolytes would declare him the second coming of JFK and the greatest public speaker in the history of mankind.

He'd be an idiot to literally do that. He'll probably say a bunch of nice crap about McCain and say how they'll work together blah blah blah.

It ain't realistic but I want to hear this:

"Silky Johnston: First of all, I wanna thank God for giving everybody so much, and me, so little. I hate you, I hate you, and I don't even know you and I hate your guts. I hope all the bad things in life happen to you, and nobody else, but you. And as I stand here sippin' the soda that I'm sure somebody spit in, I just wanna say yall can kiss my ass you rotten motha-fuckas. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go home and put some water in Buck Nasty's momma's dish. Good evenin'!"

If the media is the Lefts bitch, then how did Bush win in 2000 and 2004?

I could see him saying something to the effect that '45 years ago a man said "I have a dream", today that dream has become reality for not just me, but for all americans, regardless of race.'
or something like that. I think other president's quote previous presidents, why not quote Dr. Martin Luther King?

I don't think the media is the left's bitch... Gore certainly didn't get a free pass in 2000 and I think it's a mistake to think of them as some kind of individual entity.

but it seems like a reasonable prediction considering the out-pouring of emotion (greatest speech ever, should be taught to students, etc) after his ok-to-mediocre race speech.

Are you as glad as I am to be so cool as to be above all that. Up here in our ivory tower we can look down and make all kinds of snide remarks about the peons below us. It's such a comfort to me to be so smug.

What happened, get emotionally crushed for loving something once and vow never to be hurt again?

He probably loved his country and knows that if Obama gets elected his country will forever be changed and not in a good way.
Have you even heard some of the shit Obama spews? National Civilian Security force that is as well funded as the US military? Or he wants to impose carbon taxes so stringent it would put the coal industry out of business, and that his taxes would cause energy prices to sky rocket.

Dear Leader is going to royally fuck this nation up if he has his way.

being naturally skeptical of zealots is a good thing, I think.

There are many kinds of zealots. One kind suggests he could go in there and say, ""Fuck you, bitches" and the media / his acolytes would declare him the second coming of JFK and the greatest public speaker in the history of mankind."

I can't wait. Anybody so brain dead as to worry about what Obama will do after 8 years of Bush disaster is such a fool that his fears surely herald the coming of hope.

I can't wait either to tell the truth. While I'm still voting for McCain, after putting it all in perspective it will not make too much of a difference in my life whoever wins. I just hope all of you who so passionate about Obama, and his wave of "hope and change" are not let down in the end.

If we are not let down then the notion that it won't make too much difference is silly. It will make all the difference in the world. What won't make too much difference, just a continuation of the total disaster of the last 8 years, is if 90% McSame wins.

But you chose the irrational so logic isn't going to change your mind.

If Obama wins, he probably will come up with his own speech and the Media will rank it right up there with MLK's, Kennedy's and Lincoln's speeches. Just like they did with his speech on race, and then his other speech on race a few weeks later.

Um, no it won't make a difference to me and my life. I will still go on as I did the days before and not much will change, except maybe my tax rate.

I hope not at all or not significantly. Some references wouldn't be out of line, but this is really about progressing further, and not looking back at the past.

While his speech matters less than the substance and spirit he can put behind it, he has a specific task at hand of re-unifying the nation as much as he can and needs to at least say that in a way to set the groundwork and tenor for the path ahead.

Frankly, what McCain can do to heal those wounds will at the onset be more important than Obama's speech, and if successful worth much more than his own redemption.

Don't worry, they won't be, they have drank so much of the kool aid at this point that they couldn't even admit it....

for the loonbats like Moonie and the other uber left morons Obama is the messiah...for everyone else he will be marginal at best should he land it tomorrow...I remember so many here in my state singing the same praise for free em all Deval, now a few years later people think he was a waste of time and effort and no better than any of the others, if anything worse since he supported Wilkerson and now blames the voters and the people of the state...pathetic.

Remember that Chapelle show skit where blacks get reparations and the black weatherman changes his voice to how he really talks? That would be epic.

he'll allude to MLK the same way that Clinton did. and the same way Clinton alluded to JFK.

Obama will mention mountains and trumpets, as any intelligent speech writer would.

He would probably let the great orator Biden write it for him. I'm sure it would reference a lot of famous speeches, if you catch my drift.
