Will newer PSUs work with an old PIII system?

Ok, so I'm thinking about giving my friend my old PIII 500Mhz system. The mobo's pretty basic, its got integrated graphics..that's pretty much it lol. My friend's got a Pentium II and his dad won't let him buy new parts. So I'm thinking of getting his dad to buy a case, psu and pci video card for under $200 so that my friend could later buy a new mobo, etc when he's got enough cash. My question is, will a newer PSU, say a Seasonic S12-430 work with an older PIII board? I think I recall that you need a -5V rail, but I'm not sure about this. Any help would be appreciated.
 
Alright, thanks for the replies. I ran into a problem though. THe new PSU needs the old AUX connector, the one with 6 pins...and most good power supplies don't use it anymore. So, are there any good PSU's that still have an AUX connector, or is there an adapter for it available?
