I am thinking of upgrading to x64 to utilize my pc to its fullest, plus I am an IT student. I would like to know if my software will work in x64.
MS office 2003
Photoshop CS2
NIS 2006
NWS 2006
Itunes
C+++
Nero
Acrobat Pro
spyblaster
adware
Illustrator CS2
MM Studio 8
Divx Pro
winrar
PowerDVD
sony cybershot software
panasonic DVDcam software
Ipswitch FTP Professional 2006
X800 XT drivers
nForce platform software
logitech drivers

All 32bit software should work on x64 except drivers, and most hardware companies have released decent 64bit drivers by now, so you should be ok.

And than the point of running an x64 os is than what?

From what I understand, you can't run 64bit software on 32bit Windows, so I guess that would be "the point of running an x64 os."
