I need to know what to do with my Hercules 3D Prophet II, Geforce 2 GTS 32meg (what a mouthful)...
The wires broke off the fan end when I pushed to them to make way for my cpu fan... and I didn't push hard at all, so that they were extended, only to push it slightly aside - in case you need to know whether I'm a screw up or not
they looked very very thin indeed, no wonder they broke off.
I took it out and replaced it with my deadold viper 330 temporarily...
Anyway, I have no technical skill, and I can't really get it either, so soldering it back on is sort of out of my reach...
so my question is: would the geforce survive without the fan?
The heatsink is still on, and I'd be suprised if that tiny fan actually did much difference, but again I'm no technical expert, that's why I'm asking.
and I guess you need to know a whole load of how warm it is in my cabinet, but you ain't gonna get that, I need your take on it for "an average and above warm computer"...
Any respons would be greatly appreciated, and I apologize if this was posted in the wrong area. thanks.
