Will my FPS dwindle if I do not upgrade my Hard-drive?

I am thinking about upgrading some of my system.. and was wondering if my game performance would drop if I did not upgrade my HD along with everything..

Right now I have a 8.4GB IBM UDMA33..

I was going to grab myself a 800+ Duron/Thunderbird, motherboard/memory, and a ATI Radeon..

Will my FPS suffer from not upgrading my HD? Or where will my performance suffer the most from not upgrading it?

FPS is only associated with 3D graphics rendering performance.

A faster hard drive will make your games load much faster.
