on a side note..my friend once gave me 8 feeder goldfish cause his fish wouldn't eat em.. i threw em in our aquarium and they kept growing.. now they are 5" long each and they've eaten all the other fish in the aquarium
this has been 5-6 years and they're still alive >>
Afaik, Goldfish were meant to be pond fish. That's why they can get so big.

Odd, I was wondering the same about my cats. As much as they overeat all they do is just keep getting fatter. They make great footwarmers now. >>
Be careful about the cats' weight. As with people, too much can cause loads of health problems, and in some cases has even been considered a form of animal abuse. If you'd like to get them to shed some pounds, don't feed them table scraps and limit their food intake (don't starve them, that's cruel). Consult with your vet about the best amount of food for them daily. Also, give them something new and fun to do. A kitty play center or a new toy might get them going again. Laser pens are always a big hit.
