Will my current wireless DSL modem work in tandem w/ a cable modem?

I currently have Qwest service, 7 Mbps. I want to go to Charter, either 8 Mbps or 25 (will do 25 if it's available here). It's more about ESPN3 than it is speed, but Charter is also cheaper.

I have the Actiontek PK5000 DSL wireless modem and it works fine. Can I buy a cable modem and hook it up to the PK5000 and have it broadcast the signal for me?

No. You don't have a WAN inbound ethernet connection on the PK5000 that would be required by the Charter cable modem. The inbound signal on the PK5000 comes from a phone line. You will need a regular wireless router unless you opt for a wireless cable modem/router from Charter.

Thank you Lanyap. I'll look for a cable modem / wireless router then. I can't see paying $5 to rent the modem and $10 to rent the router every month.
