my cpu just bust and i order a string of new parts to rebuild my system:

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ soc. 939
Asus A8V-Deluxe
WD raptor 74 gig
another 80 gig WD (8,000 rpm model)
ati 9600 pro
pioneer dvd-r optical drive

question - my roomate keeps saying my antec lanboy 350w ps won't push this hardware setup, what do ya'll think?

thanks in advance

FWIW, i have an antec "true" 350W PSU running the hardware listed in my sig. XPSP2 box is rock solid. I'm probably going to buy the Neo pretty soon but so far the Antec is holding its own.

If you want to be sure, take out all your hardware, or look at your manuals, and it will give the energy consumption.
Add another 150w for stuff that you can't find wattages/amps [like RAM/FANS/CPU] to be on the safe side - does it come to under 300w. For instance, your vga card may use upto 80 or 90w at peak usage - a hell of a lot of power.
If yes, then ok.
If no, its nice to leave yourself a bit of a buffer in case you want to connect something like a usb device.

thanks a bunch guys.
montag451 - yeah i heard about that trick thanks for the reminder, will def. do that.

djfiji - thanks for giving me your specs., if you aren't havening any problems i should be cool

but, i got my mobo and chip today, and as nichowA points out, i'm about to find out just how stable she will be.

thanks.
