Will my 250w PSU be able to handle this?

I just remembered to ask this after seeing the other PSU thread. Currently I'm running on whats in my sig flawlessly with my 250w PSU. I will hopefully be adding a 30g 7200RPM Maxtor Diamond Max Plus and a Lite-on 12x8x32 CDRW and keeping all previous componets. Will the PSU be adequate? If not, will removing my 52x LG CD ROM drive make it work most likely?

That should be fine. I have a 250w PSU running my duron, and i believe it takes alot more wattage than a pIII. I wouldn't say "go run out and buy a 300w PSU right now!", but, next case you get, make sure its PSU is 300+. (Advice for myself as well)😀

It should be fine...and definitely doesn't hurt to try...

I ran a 750@840 tbird
3 case fans
1 HDD
3 cdroms/dvd/cdrw
3 pci/isa cards
1 radeon 32mb ddr

on a 250 watt ps no problem...

I upgraded to 350 sparkle and added 1 hdd, 1 zip drive, and tbird 1.1@1.2...never did see if 250 couldn't handle it, but I bet odds are it wouldn't...

P3's take less than tbirds and since you still have less ide devices then I did, I would think you are fine.
