I have A LEGAL holographic CD and I also have a "cracked" one Basically I feel bad for some reason and now that SP1 might block it anyway

I have a free license for My school pc but it is REALLY bad installing over the network..that is why I use my legal cd here and at home everytime I reformat...often...

Will they care if I am lazy and use the LEGAL copy at home too... I really hate having duplicate disks

As long as you use different CD keys when installing with the LEGAL copy for the two computers then you should be okay.

You aren't allowed to have the cracked version even if you have a legal copy as it circumvents the activation process.

What you talkin bout Willis?

LOL, I say that to my boys all the time and they wonder what I'm talkin' 'bout! :D"

Send the "cracked" one back to Microsoft for a replacement. They'll probably charge a $5.00 fee or something.

LOL. $5.00 hey? Thats what the charge for piracy is now adays? I thought it was much steeper then that.. Now I can pirate to my hearts content knowing the punishment is much lower then doing the right thing and purchasing the software..

Hehe, I am assuming when he says 'cracked' he means pirated, and not a physical crack in the CD. It might be more understandable if he spoke english, instead of "Im talking with a hotdog in my mouth" language.

Oh, that kind of cracked! I guess I've always assumed these type threads automatically get locked, so I didn't even give it a thought!

...but yeah, just send it to Microsoft! :D
