Watch and decide. Considering this was on ABC, CBS, NBC, CPAN-2, PBS, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, etc. this could bankrupt his campaign:

He was saying horseshit to Obama claiming that Spain was an ally. Where the fuck has Obama been the last few years if he actually thinks that Spain is an ally?

Because Spain is obviously an ally. They are part of NATO, they contributed troops to the Iraq war, etc. Wait, are you the crazy person who thinks France and Germany are our enemies too?

Are you seriously arguing that a fellow NATO democracy is not an ally?

Dude, what alternate universe do you live in? Spain was even part of the Coalition of the Somewhat Willing, not to mention their longstanding NATO membership..

Loki8481 has a point, the networks can no longer risk covering the McCain campaign
because McCain has a potty mouth.

Hey look another dkos/blog attack on McCain that has no foundation in reality. He said "Of course not."

More desperation from the far left?... hmm......

Edit - I see that it's another Andrew Sullivan attempt...

Uhh... no. He was saying "ofcourse not" to the idea that he wouldn't talk to Spain. Spain is our ally btw. The leader of spain is a supporter of Obama though so there was a problem a while back about this. Not a big deal and it was a pretty lame attempt by BHO to use it in a debate when he knows that what he's insinuating is false.

It's NOT false, and I think it's "pretty lame" that you're willing to lie to support your candidate. I don't think McCain's statement about meeting with the leader of Spain was a big deal or anything, but his response was incredibly wishy-washy considering that he was talking about Spain and not Iran or North Korea. It was worth noting, at least, if not good material for a debate. I wouldn't have used it if I was Obama, but your suggestion that Obama just made it up is inaccurate.

"support your candidate"? You truly are clueless aren't you?

Also, I never said he "made it up". He knew what he was saying was false - or he really is just plain stupid.

"said the other day that he would not meet potentially with the prime minister of Spain, because he -- you know, he wasn't sure whether they were aligned with us," - BHO at the debate.
That is a false statement.

Here is what McCain actually said
?I will meet with those leaders who are our friends and who want to work with us cooperatively,? McCain replied.

The questioner tried to clarify, ?Okay, but I?m talking about Europe - the president of Spain, would you meet with him??

?I will meet with any leader who has the same principles and philosophy that we do: human rights, democracy, and liberty. And I will confront those that don?t,? McCain answered.

I suggest taking your blinders off next time...
