no. see my friend smoked a month ago. and hasnt since then. his parents (psychotic christian baptists... NOT generalizing) think he's doing drugs so they tested him today. he peed in a cup and they're sending it off. is he gonna get fvcked?

You can flush your system within a few weeks if you drink enough water.. cranberry juice helps too.

No, generally 2-4 weeks. Sometimes longer, if they're looking hard enough. It stays in your hair for MUCH longer.
Milk won't do much for that, btw.
 
Edit: I asked my mom and she says that urine tests can really only detect drugs used within the past one or two weeks.

So he's fine!

No. See, your friend's parents KNOW he's doing drugs, because he is. And while he hopefully won't get fvcked this time, he'll eventually have to face the consequences of doing stupid sh!t like that with parents like his. Has your friend ever thought about getting a job? It's pretty tough to get a job at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, Kroger, or any other place if your drug test turns up positive. And it's not fun, I'm sure, when your friend's doctor notifies the cops, and your friend's parents are notified by the cops of his positive employment drug test, since it sounds like your friend is <18. It's definitely something to think about.

I'm all for having a good time while in HS, but if you know that your parents are paranoid and overprotective, then I really have no sympathy - when your friend is out of his parents' house then it's a different story.

I'm not sure how long marijuana stays in the system though, but I think that it's usually over a month. Not sure if it'll be picked up on a urine sample though.
 
There is no way in hell he'll test positive after a month unless he is like 300 lbs and smoked twice a day for a month prior to ceasing usage a month ago.

HE IS FINE FOR A DRUG TEST.

yeah, actually Nuclear, i've started to know you as the in-house drug guy. dunno why.

he's really in shape, damn quick metabolism, etc.
 
form what i remember a decatable amount of THC only stays in your blood for around 20 days so he should be fine, and one of my friends smoked maybe 3 days before a test. so he jsut drank a gallon of orange juice and it didnt come back positive

That just seals the deal. He'll test negative in any reasonably calibrated drug test. Most of that takehome crap is well, crap. (or so i hear)
There might be some THC in his urine, but it will be such a small level that it would only test positive for in a stupid POS test. A standard NIDA-5 lab test should mark him clean, mainly because THC negative/positive thresholds are fairly high to prevent false positives from second hand smokers and the like....

The problem with marijuana is that it's impossible to say a number like "20 days"
Since THC metabolites dissolve into your fat, your body weight, liquid intake, metabolism, activity level, and diet all play a role in determining how long it takes for the removal of THC metabolites from your system. It's quite different from most other drugs.

even if he doesn't test negative, no use in worrying about it now.

However, I can understand somebody researching the chances of them testing either positive or negative after their drug test when they can't do anything, in which case I will say that there is absolutely no worrying needed because the test should be negative for THC as long as pigs don't fly. 😀

personally, i dont smoke. i've got exercise induced asthma, and i dont do too well with smoke. i'll get a vaporizer for college though! :-D

eh, a week ago i wouldn't have hesitated to smoke a bowl just for kicks randomly. That sh|t burns you out though, i'm taking a break because of my adderall fun last night :Q
