I talked to CSR, she agreed the PM for me, however, when i try to confirm the product whether is exactly the one having MIR, she told me if I use MIR, I can't do PM. Will they really conflict?
Thanks!

staples' policy says it WILL!!
But they didn't enforce it ...... Just don't tell them about the MIR when you do a PM .....

I believe the reason they won't do PM is that after MIR, the price will be already lower than outpost.

Actually, at first I didn't mentioned MIR, and the CSR did agree to PM for me, but when I mentioned the MIR, she refused to give me PM.

So I guess if we don't mention MIR, CSR may PM it. But the question is: the MIR is also provided by Staples, so their MIR department may find the trick from the receipt together with rebate form, and probably they won't give you the rebate. Any comments about this?

I have ALWAYS received MIRs from Staples where I have done PM and/or used coupons to take my net cost to $0 or less.

Staples uses Parago (rebateshq.com - a separate company entirely) to fulfill their rebates. From my experience, the people there aren't the brightest bulbs in the lot, but are typically very professional, helpful and accommidating. As long as they have the UPC, receipt and MIR application, they are happy campers.

Typically, the items offered with the bigger rebates are discontinued items, which the stores are trying to clear out. Their store sales figure look great when they get SOMETHING for stuff they couldn't sell otherwise. If they have to PM to move some of it, then so be it.

SUGGESTION: Take your online purchase to a B & M to PM. I have done this many times with no issue whatsoever.

At Staples all is DEFINITELY good.

You can PM, general use coupon, Staples MIR, and manufacturer MIR all on a single item. I have done it. This is general knowledge around here.

I've done pm/rebates quite a few times. No problems here.

I am sorry, I am new to dealing with staples.com and PM. How do I PriceMatch? Do I have to call? What are the conditions? What if the item is out of stock at the other store? What if the other store charges shipping?

Thanks,
Colin

If you go into the store to do a PM, will they PM to a .com retailer, or only B&M? If they'll do it to a .com, do they still hit you up for their overnight shipping charges (although, interestingly, the camera I ordered w/a PM on Fri. came "overnight" on Wed.- some overnight shipping.
Also- as long as it's within the 14 days- will they give you a "free offer" after the purchase- I bought a camera this week, and would like to get the free zip being offered with a camera purchase next week.
