I know Bonzai, i realised that the moment i saw the Vendetta and the Xigmatex, but i simply don't trust multiple pieces together to form a surface as perfectly flat as a single piece. Perfectly is too much said but you get the point.
These are big coolers, pretty heavy, especially with the fan on. I don't mean to say they aren't good, no way, they're very good, but still, this type of construction doesn't really make me feel better. There's just an idea about using multiple pieces as a base that doesn't make me comfortable. But, if i get the chance, i will test one but i'll use a desktop case or better yet, none.
In any way, i strongly suggest not to get one of these if you change parts often or simply like testing things. The previous gen had that bottom plate that held the soldered heatpipes in place and was screwed on, this doesn't have one and flatness can easily go out the window. period!
