in the majority of modern games, you should be fine

non-OCed Skylake i5s offer about 20% IPC improvements over Sandy Bridge and most games don't even fully utilize your CPU

If you lock it's turbo speed, you should be just fine. In fact, i believe sandy offers slight OC over turbo boost bins.

With the exception of games like Battlefield and RTS games like AotS, you will be just fine.

it will be a bottleneck for lots of games with decent settings targeting high framerate, but, unless you already have a similar VGA I think it makes sense to buy it anyway given the price and performance of the card.

I have gtx 560, it will be a lot better. At least I can play new games.
