Will I lose my RAID array?

Greetings,

Going from an IC7-MAX3 Intel 875P chipset to a MSI Neo nforce 3 motherboard.

Both boards have SATA RAID but differemt controllers. Will I lose my RAID array? Should I do some serious backup now?

Maybe for RAID 1, yes. But for RAID 0, Software RAID < ATA Hardware RAID < Garbage < SCSI RAID.
