Will I Get my sx830 from Amazon? - Your Thoughts Here

I ordered my sx830 over a week ago... on the 26th of november. free shipping, and used gift certificates accumulated at online reward sites.. so paid nothing out of pocket

now the big question is... WILL IT EVER SHIP? they give me a delivery time of Dec7-Dec20
im in no big hurry.. but ive been reading horror stories about amazon lately...

give me your thoughts..

Well I read reviews an that case and people where saying that it was worth the 2 week wait. So I`m guessing it`s just taking a long time to ship. And plus with the holiday sesion, it probably going to take even longer.

Don't mean to put a damper on your hopes, but lot's of people who put in orders before that date for the sx830 got theirs canceled... But I'm in the same boat as you. If I do ever get it, it'll probably be after Christmas. Got my fingers crossed.

I had read about that in another post.. of course that was after I already ordered.. this is my first order from amazon.. if they screw me over, then it will also be my last. I had read in one post that they tried to get the person to pay half the shipping.. even though it is was purchased during free shipping.. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I ordered my ksd 195TF from amazon and it took them 3 weeks to get it out and by the time I got it it was 4 weeks and their website kept saying in stock bs crap when they kept emailing me everyday telling me they are out of stock and waiting to get more .

although I checked "one shipment when all items are available"
amazon has shipped just my 50 pack of CDR's I ordered with the case. Things aren't looking good for their 7-20th delivery time frame.

well I got my CDR's (whooptie doo, I already had 50 anyhow)

now it appears the availability has changed on my order. Here is what the website says now:

Can anyone explain this? what does "1 out of print" mean??

aren't you pissed? you waited almost a whole month... was it free shipping when you ordered?
I've never had any problem with any other online retailer.. this has been a total farce at amazon... once I get this all settled I'll never go back..

yup, I'm pissed. My order status went from usually available in 2 to 3 days to 1 on hand to usually available to 1 on hand to cancelled yesterday. It was free shipping and I also used a coupon (20 off 100 i believe) which they removed after they cancelled my case, thus charging me full price on my other items. I am on hold with them now (42 minutes.) I demand satisfaction! Oh yeah, and it's listed as available on the website (for guaranteed delivery by christmas.) Bastards!

hhahaha yeah they are totally screwed up! it changed recently like 10 minutes ago... to out of stock... then it was gone completely and couldn't get to the detail page on it.. now I find this on the complete list of antec items:

well, they couldn't do anything for me except to credit me the $20 off $100 coupon back to my account (the whole order had been purchased with gc's) along with all the other gc's I had applied towards the case, and promise me free shipping on the case if I were to order it in the future (whenever they get it back in stock). He tried to explain it to me "without getting too technical" he said that inventory exists but that they can't get to it. I was like wtf are you talking about...that the purchasing power of Amazon couldn't get some in a month! And then you just cancell my order and the day later the product is back up on the site? What a joke these guys are! I'm just glad I didn't actually give these guys any "real" money...I hope their stock drops to 0!. I guess I would have been much more pissed if I already had ordered a mb and processor.

see I was told they had none in stock.. which is fine.. just ship me one when you do get them in stock and don't charge me shipping... I probably did it the same way you did.. only they actually honored my $15 off of $100 coupon.. so I got 50 CDR's for $14.xx.. of course I wouldn't have gotten the CDR's except to break the $100 price point after the $15 discount came off so I could still get the free shipping. so they promised me free shipping too, when the case comes in. if the free shipping suddenly ends and they have the cases back im going to be sort of skeptical about the whole thing.. they should just set a limit to the weight of the item being shipped if they want to cut costs on the free shipping promotions.

It is a very hard case to find I know that.. very popular.. hell its got an 800 ranking on amazon.. which considering all the stuff they sell thats pretty damn good for a computer case.

I'll probably call them everyday just to be social I just got off the phone with them again, this being after yesterdays big hassle with it showing available/then not available/then no trace of it on the site. Now its on the site again... 24 hour shipping.. hahaha! so anyway the site is still lying... but they can get the case from a different supplier.. so he let me order it and gave me my free shipping. so if it shows up at my door in late january I will be happy. I told him there was no big hurry...
