I need to find one of these super cheap matinee theaters you guys are always talking about. $6.50 is the lowest I know of around here.

I also went by myself at around 11am Monday morning. No lines, any seat I wanted, about 7 dollars.

And yes they did show up so don't say they didn't :p

buy the ticket online

I went by myself for the midnite Thursday showing, as i didn't want to wait.

Nothing wrong that, & hey, finding single seats is easy :)

Don't worry, as a Clemson alum, you've already had your fair share of fail. ;)

But on topic, the only fail involved here would be if you DIDN'T go.

Just don't make up dumb excuses while waiting in line. The guy standing in front of us was alone, and I would've thought nothing of it if he hadn't started saying weird stuff that made it seem like he was searching for some excuse to be there alone.

Then you don't feel so alone.

I have only one question in regards to caring about what other people think about you seeing a movie alone... Why so serious?

First time I saw Dark Knight I saw it by myself. I work night shift and everyone I knew was either working or had plans already when I wanted to see it. First time I've ever gone to a theater by myself, and I didn't regret it. Didn't have to worry about finding a spot or dealing with friends making small comments during the movie.

The only awkward part was the minutes before the lights dimmed and the previews started, where you are just sitting by yourself watching the advertisements for local businesses. Other than that, I recommend going to a movie by yourself.

I did so too. People seating next to me was like, "I am sorry, but there's only one seat left." and I said "it's just me." Awkward at first, no problem at all
