Will HT work with current P4 CPU's?

I'm a little confused about this new HT. The newer mobos like the P4PE will support HT and some of the older mobos will support it with a BIOS upgrade. So does this mean current P4 CPU's (like the 2.53GHz if have for example) will do HT? Or is HT only enabled in 3.04GHz P4's and beyond?

From what I 've been reading, only the 3.06 and higher CPUs will have HT enabled. As far as motherboards go, provided that they can support the higher P4s, enabling HT is only a matter of a BIOS update. What I'm not sure off is if HT is limited to the Intel P4 chipsets only, or if chipsets from SiS and VIA will have the feature.
