illegals get treated for free all the time. Just walk in and pretend not to speak English. Free medical care at taxpayer's expense!

 walk in and speak English. You will get the same treatment.

If you want to refuse it to illegals change the laws.

Yes, because it's not like thousands of people haven't already tried to change those laws but the higher levels of gov't want the illegals.

Last year I had pneumonia. I was out of insurance.
The hospital treated me and sent me an enormous bill. The wife called about payments and happened to know the girl in billing.
That girl sent her a form to fill out. It was an application for some sort of "Hospital Happiness We'll Pay Your Bill Fund".
Long story short...
They ate the entire bill.

This is what I like about Australia's hospital system, If I get injured, no matter what , I can go to a hospital and recieve treatment even if I don't have insurance, the big difference is how long you wait, If you have insurance, you get in straight away, if you don't you wait, unless it is life threating.
when I go to the doctors, I generally don't have to pay, if I do get charged I will be reimbursed by the medicare system if I file a claim.
If I need medication and have a health care card(most low wage and unemployed people will)I only pay $3 or $4 for medicaton, If I don't have a health care card, I can obvously afford medication because I earn a decent wage and shouldn't be sponging off of the medicare system.
so much simpler in Australia.

Yes they treat you. I had this happen a while back. I fell and scraped a little bit of skin off my face and a police officer saw me and took me to the hospital. It sucked because I didn't want to go but he said I had to because I was drunk. I didn't have insurance, had less than $200 in the bank, no job, and I was telling everyone that I didn't want to go, but 6 hours later I left the hospital with a $9000 bill and a bandaid on my ouchy. Oh and I still had a hangover.

Most hospitals have an open contract that they will treat you regardless of your ability to pay. They may bend you over the couch with the bill, but you will get treatment.
