Will G71 support HDR+AA?

most likely not.

Just asking because the only reason I would upgrade from my 7800GT SLI setup is to run HDR+AA. If it doesn't then I guess I'm fine till G80.

It could but i dont know

crazy rumors worse then R520 (and we know how that turned out)
24 ROPS 32 Pipes?
16 ROPS 32 Pipes?
16 Rops 24 Pipes + Clock speed?

I heard rumblings of it having the af that was on the fx cards(angle independant?),but I think aa+hdr is stretching it.Would be nice, but I wouldn't expect it.

Well, of course, you could get an X1900.

yeah but most people are anti-ati now days. just a week ago some people were ready to buy a 7800GTX 512MB for $700USD and when x1900xt comes out and beats it... its like "lets all wait for G71".

"its the whole why does ATI not have more pipe"
I think ATI is doing a good job.

Those people also don't care about IQ or when you play games at really high res with AA + AF + HDR +SM3.0 on.. they fool themselves with low res benchmarking making sure NVIDIA looks better. Also the screw up of DFI crossfire board at start makes crossfire completely failure which DFI fixed with 2.0 revision.. Newegg is now shipping 3.0A revision and it hell stable ! then price $50 extra for master card ... they complain about that like $2000 SLI setup 7800GTX 512MB is so worth it. Anyways i waiting to see how Nvidia slove the issue of heat and die when 32 pipeline are reach clocked to 700MHZ , if they don't get a good die ... it will just be like another overpriced 7800GTX 512MB... but oh wait ! it beats X1900XTX so it must be bought at all cost .

crossfire sucks duck... 😛
3 out of the 4 splitting modes dont even work in most games. that is why sli is so much better, because its simple and it works. no ugly cables, no ugly drivers.

the two are on par, but sli clearly makes nvidia a winner, since multigpu technology is a must when play at high resolutions (and who doesnt now a days). I want HD gaming, so I will buy nvidia, because their SLI is a winner over crossfire. no doubts about it.

DOOM 3 ?
QUAKE 4 ?
BF2 ?

Elderscroll 4?
UT2007?
Medieval total war 2 ?
