Will frys accept my fux0red up cpu?

Ok i think i fscked up my cpu...i removed the thermal pad, applied some arctic alumina, and now i'm getting 260f temps...Obviously, its a user error...setting morals aside here, will frys accept my fux0red up cpu?

Why should they, you are the one that fuxored it up.

260F = 126.6C !!!! I don't see how it could be functioning at that temp though. What does the bios report?

Interesting, if you got into Windows and saw that I think it maybe a software issue or something.

it does still run

mbm just makes the warning beep and the speedometer says 260f or 120c

Bios says 42c though

When i touch the hsf, it doesn't feel like its even heated...i cant really see if the hsf is touching the chip because the hsf mechanism is blocking my view...

What should i do?

bios says 42 c but motherboard moniter says it's around 120 something c. Silly Rabbit Kix are for Trids

mbm is screwed up. probably have it set for the wrong type of monitering chip. Theres nothing wrong with that chip. only thing wrong is you have mbm set up wrong.

Well, if it was 126C you would definitely feel it. Your cpu is fine, you have a software problem.

That might as well be it but i have a feeling the hsf isn't coming in contact w/ the core...and the mobo was making the warning "beeps" before i installed mbm...
