Will Final Fantasy VII ever be remade?

FFVII does not need a remake, or at least not yet. The earlier ones in the series (FFI-FFVI), which are 2d and don't have cutscenes (except for FFIV in Final Fantasy Chronicles) deserve to be remade. Chrono Trigger, which isn't part of the FF series but is a Square game, could use a remake, but only if they plan on doing it in full 3D and dedicate themselves to doing it right. No one wants to see antoher half-assed remake of any of Square's old games. I wish Square Enix hadn't shut down the Chrono Trigger Resurrection porject 🙁

What is based on FFVII besides the game and the Advent Children movie?

There is a PS2 title, PSP title, and a cell phone RPG. I may be missing one, not sure.

i have ff7 on pc

Same here. I remember buying a Voodoo2 back in high school just to play this game. 4MB video acceleration FTW!

Me too! The one and only time I paid real money for a video card, I still had it running until about three months ago, too.

Mew tew! Then I tried the Ultima(te?) Edition and couldn't get into it at the time.

BTW, this game for the PS is selling for VERY high prices right now on eBay since its OOP. People are shelling out >$100 for the original (not the greatest hits one) sealed...:Q

BTW, I thought FF2 was the best.

who keeps a $50 video game sealed for 10 years? (at $50 that's only a 7% interest rate, not so good)

You should see the prices for CT. The sad thing is I almost bought it last week, too 😱

I totally agree with this.

The greatest game EVAR?

Will it see life anew on PS3?

Would you buy it, and more importantly love it forever?

it's not even the best final fantasy, let alone the best game 'EVAR'

i think you never played final fantasy games prior to playstation

QFT!!!

FF III on the SNES was much better. and i was such a big fan of FF II when...**SPOILER**
you fight your old dark knight self as a paladin

FF III is what got me hooked to the Final Fantasy series..
I remember paying $70 for the SNES game while I was stationed over in South Korea from the electronics shopping area of Yongson

Well I guess it didnt benefit you as much as you like since you bought the game when it was released. I bought the original (black box) when the price dropped to 19.99 ( yea, I waited for a long time). I had already passed my friends version before picking up my own. Anyways, I know a few people, hardcore FF fans no less, who actually bought the game again for collection purposes at that price and kept it sealed. I should've done the same. I mean getting $150 back (through Ebay as Ive witnessed) for a $20 investment isnt the greatest deal, but its still something, and I expect that price to go up in the future.

I don't see anything on ebay for $150 for FF7. You should have seen prices for Suikoden III when it went out of production for a couple months.
