Will Farcry run on my laptop?

edit: Sorry, I accidently pressed enter. My laptop has a 1.6GHZ Pentium M processor and 768MB of RAM with an integrated intel extreme graphics 2 onboard, 64mb of shared video memory max, do you think it will run? Thanks.

Yes but at 800x600 at maybe low or medium settings

Intel Extreme is worse than a geforce4mx so don't expect much. 640x480 is more likely than 800x600, but the Mobile or Video tabs should have some benchmarks to reveal the true horror of your situation.

Yea. The geforce mx 4 is garbage, comparable to a geforce 2. So if davesimmons is right you wont be playing farcry very quickly at all. Try starcraft fun fast and runs on a pentium 90 with a 10 year old card.

People always say that but why is the gefroce mx4 bad?

Because calling it a geforce _4_ (which were great) instead of the _2_ it really is was a sleazy lie to fool buyers into thinking it is better than a geforce 3.

Next time you buy a laptop, be sure it has a discreet graphics card, I learned that the hard way. The first computer I personally owned was a laptop, and I've owned a series of laptops all the way through '04 that had software accelerated graphics, it was absolutely terrible, it took me until 1999 to when I finally got my own desktop computer, albiet old, it was a desktop nonetheless.

Well, I use my laptop for work usually, I just wanted to play a game or two on it, it's no big deal, I can use my desktop for all my gaming instead. Thanks for the info though.
