Will DivX play on Windows Media Player 7.0?

Will DivX files play on Windows Media Player 7.0?

I faintly recall that they will only play on ver. 6.x. Is that true?

Nope, Divx plays fine in WinME.

How about with Win98SE and Windows Media Player 7.0?

it should be fine...

but if it does not play, you can always open up

"c:\program files\windows media player\mplayer2.exe"

even though version 7 is installed, 6.4x is still there... the executable was not modified nor was it deleted.

personally, i installed 7, but don't use it. I have all my extensions pointed to 6.4x

I`m playing DivX movies on WMP7 and Win 98 SE
Downloaded some program from www.mydivx.com and it works fine

98SE with MP7 play DivX movies just fine.

I'ts just that I hate the b0rked new interface, old one was a lot better...
