I think it's a matter of group slur. Of stereotyping anyone that is "other" as socialist and evil and all these things. They want to take away the police. You have that statement backwards. Christians will be beheaded for supporting the cause of Christ, once the Dems fully enact all the laws which they want to make it punishable by death to practice Christian beliefs.

Actually, in all honesty, I can't deny that _some_ Christians, in _some_ parts of the world, face real threats. Not in America though. There it's a dominant power, perversely craving persecution.

Something strange happened to Christianity when it travelled to north America. It mutated into something different (perhaps partly a 'founder effect'? Those Puritans, yearning for freedom to persecute others?). For one thing it cross-bred with white-supremacism, producing the Christian Identity movement (the uber-strain of most of the US far-right). But even 'mainstream' Protestantism took a strange turn on that continent.
