Christmas is about celebrating the birth of the Messiah. Praying in your own home, singing Christmas carols, and reading the Bible have not been cancelled. The Lord will know that you have celebrated His birth, which is what actually counts.

/and the lord will still be annoyed that you keep getting the date wrong!

True story, back around Christmas 2014 or '15, I had a couple of co-workers who insisted that saying Merry Christmas in the office would get you fired. I tried to argue how silly that was but they refused to listen. Something about "Obama's PC" or whatever, not much different than the OP's dishonest paranoia. So at the end of the working day on Christmas Eve, I went through through the office wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, including those co-workers and upper management. And yeah, nothing happened except some people wished me a Merry Christmas back.

You know how people its become popular to watch Die Hard for X-mas? The new Easter tradition should be watching zombie movies.

Somebody really should make a Zombie flick set in Jerusalem 2000 years ago. It's Biblical even, so there's a significant audience for it already....If nothing else their outrage would be excellent Marketing.

Heh. I can only imagine their brain pain as they had an internal argument about them complaining about you saying "merry Christmas" because it was now offending them!

Excellent; like a story about a prophet who is executed by the Romans, only to arise from the dead on the third day?

:smilecat:

No, the other reference to Zombies

From Wikipedia
Matthew 27:53 is the fifty-third verse of the twenty-seventh chapter of the Gospel of Matthew in the New Testament. This verse describes some of the events that occurred upon the death of Jesus. The previous verse mentioned that tombs broke open and the saints inside were resurrected. In this verse the saints descend upon the Holy City.

I live in very deep blue northern NJ right near NYC and never had any fear of saying Merry Christmas

You woulda thought the liberals around here would be policing that shit

Thank you, I had forgotten all about that. Now I remember it freaked me out a bit, learning that part as a child.

"They came out of the tombs after Jesus' resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to bite many people."

Heck, things are so crazy, I'm watching an NFL football game, in the middle of the day, in the middle of the week, live. Christmas? Maybe.
