My mum is 86, my MIL is 70, my great nan in law is 96. I have two kids at school and I work in a hospital.
I wouldn't have people round my house at Christmas this year and I wouldn't go to any gatherings.
I'm amazed that people need to be told not to kill granny!
 
I am gonna miss one party, that being my volunteer gig's holiday party. Do I care about that? No siree. I have no desire to mingle with the masses or with family or friends. Fact is, I am getting all the social contact I need in my dreams, I've had some very pleasant ones the last few months.
 
Christmas isn't cancelled here. My fam and I will be doing everything digitally(will be mailing out gifts) just like Thanksgiving. At the end of the day the Christmas spirit should be about caring about your family's health. Right?

I don't get it either - to the extent that I honestly don't believe any of these irrational types are genuinely "Russians". I just don't see why anyone would bother. Maybe on Facebook, but not somewhere as inconsequential and obscure as this site.

The only possible 'benefit' I can see to Putin, even on high profile venues like Twitter or Facebook, where I can believe organised efforts do happen, would be less about persuading anyone to agree with them, and more about making the majority "liberals" feel more hostile and contemptous towards their compatriots. i.e.. the deluge of crazy conservatives is all about making all conservatives appear crazy by association.

But I think the irrational posters on here are just genuinely irrational Americans.
