Weird, I've been hearing from Christians that they should they cancel X-mas because it doesn't actually celebrate baby Jesus' being visited by 3 old creepy dudes surrounded by a bunch of animals for years.
 
I'd be happy for Christmas to be cancelled even if there wasn't a pandemic. It's all a huge hassle and recipe for family strife. This has been a bad year personally and I really would rather not have to deal with all the Christmas crap.

OP, I totally agree. This is ludicrous! What next? Putting "Happy Holidays" on coffee cups? Companies saying, "Seasons Greetings!"? Shopping mall Santas being required to stand six feet away from children?! This is all a ploy by the Grinch to steal Christmas once and for all.

You have to cancel all Christmas plans outside of your household. You have to. No, I know what you're going to say — you have to. At least, if you care even slightly about your family.

The virus doesn't care what religion you believe in (in fact, churches have been a major source of outbreaks). It doesn't care that you haven't seen relatives for 10 months, or that you have a family tradition. It will happily kill your grandparents, and might leave other family members with permanent lung or heart damage.

The irony of your "Communist States of America" bullcrap is that Christians in China have a much better chance of celebrating Christmas together than Americans do. Why? Because the country takes COVID-19 seriously. It's not the political system that determines whether or not you can get together for the holidays, it's whether or not you respect science... and you don't.
 
Christmas is about celebrating the birth of the Messiah. Praying in your own home, singing Christmas carols, and reading the Bible have not been cancelled. The Lord will know that you have celebrated His birth, which is what actually counts.
 
What's the difference. Super spreader's are going to super spread, and cautious people will remain cautious. As long as I can stay away from them and they only kill their own grandparents it's all good. It's not a mask, it's an IQ test.

BTW if Xmas is cancelled it is on President Trumps shoulders because there can only be one President. Joe Biden is the President Elect. He will not become the President until noon 1/20/21, far after Xmas.
