Will changing my spark plugs void my warranty?

In my past vehicles, I have put in SplitFire spark plugs and they performed well.

When I got my new 04 Dodge Neon I didn't change them because I didn't want to mess up breaking my engine in.

Well it is broken in now and I'm wondering if putting in SplitFire will make any difference. But I also don't want to void any engine warranty I have.

I might ask the dealership, if there is ever an issue with the engine they might make up some BS reason to get around having to do warranty work

slpit fire plugs.. what's the big with that and the normal plugs. I use Autolite double platinum (they make the motorcraft double platinum).

but next time i will go for the motorcraft ones. They seem better.

Your engine warranty won't be voided unless they can prove that the Splifire plugs caused the engine failure. In another word, if you have engine problem put back the old plugs before taking in for repair.

No it won't void your warranty if done properly. Personally I think Split Fire plugs are a bit of a ripoff, but that's another discussion.

yep correct.

I go out of my way not to use splitfires, autolites, or any plug that is just not worth the money.

When the spark jumps on the split prongs, it allows a direct path along the chamber. Also, gasoline is made up of different sizes of molecues, and two sparks in slightly different locations ensures that the path of least resistence (quickest igniting molecules) fires first. So the gasoline ends up burning hotter and without waste.

In all the cars I have put them in, I had better acceleration at lower rpms and slightly better gas mileage.

New car warranties can NEVER be voided. NEVER. People should not even use that word when speaking of them, especially any dealer or dealer representative.
Individual warranty claims, however, can be rejected on a case-by-case basis. For example, if you strip the threads while changing out the sparkplugs yourself, the new cylinder head replacement will NOT be covered under your warranty. Or... if you put in these new plugs and they fail down the road, then these aftermarket sparkplugs will NOT be replaced under warranty. But... if you put in these new plugs and the engine fails down the road due to some manufacturer defect, then that WILL be covered under warranty.

Make sense for everyone here? The spirit of the law is that new car warranty coverage cannot be denied simply because of the presence or use of aftermarket equipment on the vehicle, but only if the aftermarket equipment (or act of installation of) is directly responsible for the failure to be warranted (also the aftermarket part itself are not covered by the new car manufacturers warranty). The law is the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act.

You shouldn't need new plugs at 20k miles. Unless you just want to throw money away I don't see any reason to change plugs unless one of them is fouled or damaged in which case you likely have other problems.

Recommened sparkplug replacement for your vehicle is 30,000

Just to let you know, some Chrysler vehicles are kinda picky about the brand of plug used,
as you may get a misfire.

Oem plugs are champion resister(non-platinum) plugs
