I am of a differing opinion. I don't want the SCOTUS packed, I also don't want them all Puggers, either. 2 of the 3 branches of legislature are elected. I think SCOTUS should be elected as well. 3 terms of 4 years.
One 18 year term, staggered every 2 years between the justices

Grandfather in lifetime for those on the court now.

Every President gets 2 justices for every term they win.

Right-wing authoritarian is very sad because daddy lost the big contest.
I hope your pee-pee won't be flaccid now that the Left wing authoritarian get his "we get beat up all the Trump Nazis" viagra. Just remember during which administrations that Russia and China gained a lot of their power and influence because your little Biden-Harris utopia isn't not going to work out like people think.

Likely that Biden will not be able to pack the court even if he wanted to.
So he's safe there in not revealing that he's better than Trump but not as good as we need him to be.
His lack coat-tails being ztrong evidence of this.

Biden will do whatever he is told to do.

As opposed to Trump, who has been desperate to ingratiate himself to Putin and Kim? Never mind that there's no meaningful evidence to back your claim, Biden will still be exponentially better than what the US has now.

With what's going on with Trump, his cult, and their GOP and corporate enablers, I think we are now entering into a much darker phase of US history, where questions of whether the Democrats would do something perfectly Constitutional and reasonable like gutting the filibuster and packing the court are going to seem akin to asking whether Lincoln would pack the Taney Court in 1860. The stakes have gone up.

I bet the APA is miffed. The DSM-6 is going to need a lot of TDS inclusions.

Will Biden pack the court? No, hopefully he will attempt to fix the corruption inflicted upon it, rescuing it's legitimacy. Americans need to have confidence in the highest court there is. A mentally ill Russian asset corrupting the court with partisan zealots who lie to Senators does not inspire confidence.

Before Garland was cheated out by McConnell, I would have said "he shouldn't".

The GOP has brought guns to a gentleman's bout of fisticuffs. Time to fight back, unless you want your kids and their kids to be subject to the whims of more unqualified frat boy judges that come down on the side of the religious Right.

Why not get rid of the Constitution and implement the Democrat's totalitarian utopia?

Why not? It would be too stressful for you. You're mind might burn up trying to rationalize how much the life improvements you would be experiencing have to be unreal. On the positive side, however, it's good you lost the election because people who fear dictatorship always rationalize becoming one or voting for one to protect themselves from their own imaginary fears.

You are actually a very dangerous person but mostly just to yourself.

I think appointments are fine, as long as it's for one term of something like ten years. That way we don't end up with these federalist society pod people who graduated law school last week. We'll be stuck with Boof and Handmaid until probably 2050 at a minimum. That's ridiculous.

At some point there will be a republican president and senate again, they'll just do the same thing.

In the mean time we coulda fixed the current radical right - corporatist - executive power fetishist tilt of the Supreme Court. As it is, unless the Georgia senate runoff goes in a I direction I don't expect, we're stuck with the nutjobs.

I didn't know that it was a Democratic president that was doing everything within his power to derail the transition.

Not to mention, destabilizing our defense structure and national security, to pretty much leave the door wide open for his boyfriend Putin to come in and take over.
