Basically the power button had a hollow area behind it. After 2 years of turning it on & off, the power button just snapped (whole circumference with it). Now the monitor is on all the time unless i disconnect the plug, of course then i'll be unable to turn it on.
The monitor which i bought june 08. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824014158
I bought this back then to replace a hanns g which malfunctioned just after a year. Thankfully with the help of newegg, they were able to get hanns g to fulfill their 3 year warranty.
So to end my rant, my main question is , is there a possibility of benq accepting the unit for a replacement? or how should i explain the situation...
Thankfully i had the hanns g as a back up... instead of selling it...
