For all those that got in on the Crucial Ballistic PC2-8000 ram deal a month ago, are any of you planning on matching that with the upcoming July 22 release of the new C2D's (especially the 6850)? I know the 6850 runs a 1333FSB. Should these chips easily hit that mark? Also, what if you want to OC the 6850? Will it be able to keep up or should we be looking for 1333 memory?

thx

The current FSB of 1066 is a "Quad" figure. Divide it by 4 and you get 266mhz or DDR2-533mhz (DDR2 533mhz / 2 = 266mhz)

The next 1333 CPU's will need DDR2 Running @ 667mhz, FSB of 1333mhz (/4 = 333)

DDR2 @ 1000mhz is and will be enough for a FSB of 2000mhz or (/4 = 500mhz)
