Will ATI 9700pro work well as a source to output to HDTV?

I am building my new computer and am using my old 9700pro. Now I am considering getting the new Audigy2 ZS setup so I can easily output sound to my living rooms Home Theater setup. Now I am only going to get this if my 9700pro is a good bet to run video for my games. What signal does it output? HDTV? Progressive?

Has any of you ran a 9700pro out to a HDTV?

What format does it output and how does the picture look?

Will I be using Component or S- Video

Old 9700 Pro?! Anyway, you can get a component adapter from ATI and that should let you output HDTV signals.

Anyone have this adapter? Do you know if it is specific only to this card or will it work to convert dvi into component output with other video cards from ATi?

The adapter came with my AIW but I have not used it yet.

Why don't you call\email ATI and ask them?
