Will ASRock AM2NF3-VSTA run Windows 98 as it will run Windows XP?

I'm intending to upgrade my father's pc which has the following config:

CPU: AMD Sempron 3000+ skt A 512k cache
Motherboard: ASRock K7NF2-RAID
Memory: 1GB DDR 400 Dual Channel
Main HDD: Maxtor Diamond Max 10 160GB IDE ATA100 (Disk with Windows XP as principal OS)
Sec HDD: Maxtor Diamond Max 8.4GB IDE ATA66 (Disk with Windows 98SE as secondary OS)
DVD-RW: LG GSA-4081B
CD-RW: LiteON LTR-24102B
VGA: Sapphire ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 128MB
Soundcard: Soundblaster Live! 5.1 Digital
LAN NIC: CNET Fast 2000 (Realtek 8139 Chip)

I was thinking of changing CPU to an AM2 skt AMD64 x2 cpu, the board to ASRock AM2NF3-VSTA with has AGP and it's based on Nforce3 and 1GB of DDRII 800 Dual Channel.As I pretend to upgrade this PC but mantain compatibility with Windows 98SE, I was thinking in this board as it's based on Nforce 3 which is supported in 98SE and because this board is very similiar with ASRock K8 Upgrade-NF3 which also has the same components except the onboard audio.ASRock tells that this board isn't Windows 98SE compilant but since K8 Upgrade-NF3 is the same except the audio and they provide the 98SE drivers and also there is in this website: http://www.msfn.org/board/Mode...e=threaded#entry712354

reports about it running Windows 98SE, my question is: Will this board run Windows 98SE??

I don't think anyone can answer directly , but it "should" run windows 98 OK. Id there a reason why you need windows 98, since the system already has windows XP? You can always run windows 98 as a virtual machine using Virtual PC 2007 (freeware). That way, you can ditch the old 8 GB hard drive.

Thanks for your reply...I don't want to use VMWare or else because it has some limitations I want the real thing.So can I be sure that this board will install and run windows 98?
