Will ANY politician take responsibility?

techs

Lifer
I am just so disgusted.
No matter what has happened over the last 6 years every politician blames either the other party or booze or everyone else for their problems.
Starting with Bush look at the record:
9-11 was the Democrats fault even though it happened on his watch
Katrina was the fault of Democratic Louisiana politicians.
The no WMD was everyones fault.
The N. Korean bomb test was Clintons fault.
The Foley predations was the fault of booze.
Not getting Osama was Clintons fault.
The rampant immigration is the Democrats fault.
High gas prices are the Democrats fault.

Can't anyone here accept some responsibity.
/end rant

Not that the Dems are much better, but at least they don't campaign on the platform of "restoring responsibility to government". I've got to say, we've had Republicans in control of everything for a while now...and I don't see a lot of people taking responsibility for anything.

I voted Republican for a long time because that is where my pay raises were coming from. But now I am more independent because I think both parties suck.

Would you vote for someone who blames themselves for America's problems??? If the republicans came out and said they fubared everything would you vote for them?

Exactly.

The End.

How can they fix things when they don't even acknowledge many of the problems?

It is kind of funny you complaining about Repubicans not taking responsibility while dimissing democratic failures in the same breath.

I agree, will any politician on both sides of the aisle take responsbility?

The answer is, no, because it is common place within our culture that we are always victims, and victims never have a responsibility, and it is always somebody elses fault.

Many of the problems that they have deliberately created were done as a platform for them to retain power -
as the only ones who understood it from the position that they had placed themselves in.
We are your leaders, you are our serfs.

When did Bush ever blame 9/11 or Katrina on Democrats? When did Bush ever say any of the things you just mentioned? Provide some quotes please.

He didn't claim that Bush said any of those things.

Reread the OP, he definitely implies that Bush/Republican party are passing the blame on democrats for those events.

Republicans ARE, Bush is not (at least directly).

I'm not sure who you're talking to, but in their defense, at least Dems have the relative honesty to not go around blabbing about how responsible they are. Republicans are almost intolerable in their scolding of anyone who doesn't take immediate responsibility, and they CLEARLY have made it a primary campaign issue...yet it's a little hard to find in their party.

Did you see this on CNN today???

CNN story

And the EXCUSE.....

Blauvelt's lawyer, Michael Gmoser, said in a statement Tuesday that his client was seriously injured in a 2005 car accident, suffers from mental illness and is on medication for seizures.

Either that, or he's just another "PERV"!

I remember when I was a kid in school. If we got in a fight, talked, or skipped class and were caught the school was in no mood for ANY excuse and you didnt even TRY to give some lame excuse. Soooo, what school did THESE guys go to? The class of LAME?

Absolutely

What Politician said "The Buck Stops Here"?

The only way to not get a pass the buck Politician is to not elect a Politician.

Rally behind me, it's the only chance.

...and this is the true reason for the patriot act imo, to monitor dissent in the US (i don't think the patriot act has much to do with anything 'obroad') because neocons know that when their nwo-free trade plans really start to unfold total civil unrest will finally ensue here and it will likely be unbelievably chaotic - so they'll have control over all mediums to monitor everything therefore making people with the idea of possibly forcibly physically 'changing things' a zero option scenario.
