Will an AMD Phenom Work on my motherboard?

Hi, I havent been following computers as much as I used to when I was in college. I was wondering if I can use a Phenom CPU with my current mobo. I checked the website, and there seems to be a bio update but I am not sure if its for the newer phenmom chips. Thank you in advance. My computer parts are in my sig.

Also, unfortunately you can't. You already have the best possible CPU for that motherboard. If you want to upgrade, you'll have to get a new mobo.

Thank you for the quick response, I guess I have to look around for a new motherboard and probably get an intel quad core CPU

There are some really good deals on AM2+ phenom II cpus right now, with the AM3 variants about to arrive this week.

That deal would be kind of hard to beat with an intel setup.

Thats a pretty good deal actually for the mobo and cpu. Thanks for the heads up
