Will an Abit BH6 work with the 700E?

Can I use a 700E in my Abit BH6 and overclock it to a 133 FSB? I know I will have to buy PC133 memory for this to work but will my Geforce card take the overclock? I would appreciate any advice or success stories with this board.

Your GeForce will probably handle it, but will your BH6. BH6 was around before the prime of BX133. Also, does the BH6 support the 1/4 PCI divider at 133Mhz FSB. If it does not I would consider this a big disadvantage.

I upgraded my old Celeron 266 (o/c 400) to a 700E a while ago and everything there worked out ok. I tried to push it up to 133FBS, but I never made it to Windows. My slocket is an Abit Slocket III....I suspect this is why overclocking for me was unsuccesful. I think one made my MSI is much better, but I never got around to trying it out.

FYI: You know that your AGP clock divider will be running out of spec if you overclock to 133, right?

Your Geforce will take it just fine. :) Just check out my system rig down below....

Download the most recent BIOS update from ABIT and the file to flash your BIOS with. Flash the BIOS. Don't worry; the board can take the 700, but you're about at its limit. The ASUS CUSL2-C or P3B-F (if you want the BX chipset) would be better.

why not get a celery and overclock it all the way beyond 900 or even to 1 ghz? been proven possible from quite a few threads here.
