256mb vs 512mb or 768mb.

It may raise it by a little but not by much at all, the main thing is the os you are running and the latency/frequency of the ram.

Depending on your processor and video card, I think it will. When I had a TNT2 ultra in my 800mhz Athlon with 128mb ram, I could not play Unreal Tournamentin hardware mode. Upgraded to 256, and I could play after running around a bit so the textures would be loaded and the choppiness would go away. When I got 512mb, I could run Unreal Tournament perfectly with no slow downs. But I know UT is a system hog, so....

I just went from 512mb or ram to 256mb ram, and I can tell you that in 3DMark2001 it will make no difference, or in benching Q3.

I had to pay for that 8500 somehow
