Hi folks,

I use my rig strictly for gaming. High res FPS and RTS games mostly.

I'm curious if going to 4G of RAM will increase any performance areas(faster load/run times, etc)

Just wondering if it's worth the dough to max out memory on a gaming machine.

Sure, why not you already have everything else 🙂

For everyone else:
No, stop with 2GB unless you already own a Radeon X1900 XTX, AMD FX-60, and several Raptor-150s.
 
wow that is a rediculous machine, congratulations.

I would not put 4GB, unless you install XP x64. under 32bit XP its a complete waste of money.
 
thanks for the advice folks. I'll put the money in my "wanna buy" jar to save up for one of those slick widebody LCD flat panels if my CRT ever dies!!
