Will ABIT replace the motherboard fan????

I love my motherboard but they had to put a cheapo fan on the north bridge heatsink. Mine is dieing and is making that horrible fan of death noise. I wanna replace the thing before it complately drives me insane. BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ :|

Anyway, will I have to pick up a fan myself and replace it or would this happened to be covered under ABITS warranty????

Also, I overclock this thing. Will not having that fan connected really impact my stability for this board? Or is it best to have at least SOME air going over it?

As long as the motherboard is under warranty then they'll replace the fan. They'll either send you the fan or you'll have to RMA the board 🙁

hummmm.......Let's see,get a 10$ fan or pay for the 25$ RMA charge.

I say just get an other fan.

But you dont even have to to neither,My fan was making a lot of noise also. All i did was remove the fan & peel the sticker on the back & add 1 drop of vegetable oil then put the sticker back & remount the fan.

Now all is quiet & the fan is humming along very nicely.🙂

you definitely want that fan if you oc.. or even if you dont. the kt133 has been known for getting pretty hot under big loads, and the amd chips get hot enough heh

Just put a BLORB on it.

OTOH, I'd recommend the Tenmax Lasagna cooler. The BLORB is sufficient, but I cannot recommend it in all honesty since it IS a Thermaltake product and they're ayeholes. 🙂

Cheers!
