Will a X1900XTX work just as well in an NForce Mobo?

Will I take a performance hit by putting in an X1900XTX video card into a DFI LanParty SLI mobo? Would it run better if it were in an ATI mobo? Thanks!
 
Hey bjc112 - I noticed you got an ATI x1900xtx with a similar configuration as mine. Have you played Oblivion? If so, what kind of frame rates do you get outside? Also, what is your 3dmark05 score? Thanks!!!
 
Yes, an X1900XTX will work fine in a Nforce motherboard. I got my X1900XT in an Nforce motherboard and it runs great.
 
Hey LW07 - Same question for you if you don't mind. Have you played Oblivion? If so, what kind of FPS do you get outdoors? Also, do you know what your 3dmark 05 score is? Just wondering for comparison purposes.. Also, I like your John 3:16 and 3:17 in your sig. Thanks...

A1: For the billionth time....NO!
A2: Nope.

 
There shouldn't be any performance hit on an ATI mobo with an nVidia video card and vice versa. The PCIe slots are an industry standardized slot and need to comply with that standard in order to be called a PCIe slot. Thus performance should be the same for both cards on any given motherboard (barring video card performance differences) since the PCIe slot doesn't care what card is in there, it's just moving data.

I haven't played Oblivion. Sorry. I like FPSs and Flight Simulators better than RPGs.
