The 20GB PS3 launched along-side the 60GB PS3 but was all black (no silver trim) and had no card readers or WiFi. The module is easy enough to procure due to the 60GB being much more popular and dying left and right (other parts affected). This listing even seems to imply that this part is "for" upgrading 20GB PS3s. I don't know if the firmware checks a system identifier and hides the WiFi/Remote Play options (certain types of PSP interoperability were AdHoc WiFi only... at least at first it was) or if the GameOS looks for the hardware and hides the options if the hardware isn't there.
I'd love to swap a few parts to see but my PS3s are all broken: 60GB (RLoD), 20GB (no video), and 80GB (YLoD) PS3.
*sigh*
I'm sending them all off for repair and I'd like to know so that I could order one before I put it all back together.
