Should be just fine. Be sure to use a quality TIM, such as Arctic Silver 5. How high are you going to overclock?

Give it a shot. Under heavy load, such as Prime95 Torture Test for about 6 hours or so, as long as your temps don't break about 55C, you're just fine.

FWIW, I had a low-rpm 80mm fan on a Thermalright AX-7 (kickass heatsink!) and low-rpm case fans and my overclocked XP2100 would routinely hit 52C under load. It's still here a year later.

The stock AMD cooler for the Bartons are that great anyway. I replaced the both my old Palo 1800+ and new Barton 2500+ coolers with $5 GC68s and both of them run cooler than the stock AMD cooler.
