Will a Swiftech MC462a fit on a Abit KR7A-133r?

im waiting for my swiftech 462 that i ordered from newegg for 39 shipped (refurb).

I hear they were actually thinking when they made it, and that it will fit just about all socket a mobos.

It fits. The Swiftech MC/MCX462 fits within AMD's specifications, unlike the Alpha PAL8045. Unless your mainboard manufacturer is going too small by AMD's specifications, you'll have no problems.

The alpha pal8045 fits the KR7A-R133 too, just not a lot of the boards with "bad " placement of a row of capacitors too close to the socket (even though those boards are still within AMD specs...).

I have Alpha 8045U on my KR7A. Fits with much room to spare. Best $50 (Delta fan included on 8045U) I ever spent for a system component. I've never seen a loaded cpu temp over 41C (XP1600@148MHz Fsb).

Right on dunkster... my xp1900 is running with a 142mhz FSB at 25C idle with my alpha8045/delta combo. I even have the delta running ~4/5 power to reduce whininess 🙂
