I have a shuttle an35n ultra mobo with a barton 2500. My plan was to buy the slk-900a from svc.com for 19.99 Ya!!! But im a little scared it won't fit. There is a bunch of capacitors to left of the chip that might be a problem. The SLK-900A's dimensions are:
(L) 34 x (W) 59 x (H) 44 mm. take a look for yourself.

Pics of my motherboard...

Will it fit??

Yup. As long as the capacitors don't get in the way, the 900a will fit.r

^ Forgot i have two accounts oops.

Blade what fan did you get with this heatsink?

I was thinking of getting a 90x25 Panaflo 56.8 CFM@ 35DBA or a 92x25mm YS-Tech 66.3@ 40DBA.
We'll see what happens.

I currently have a 92mm tornado, but control the speed and noise using a fan controller. I did have the 92mm ys tech on it and it did very well. Haven't used a panaflo fan but others who have talk well of them. On top speed the ys tech can be a bit noisy, but not nearly as bad as the tornado's on the higher speeds.

Nice. tornado is good stuff.

I went with the ys tech, noise isnt a big deal. Now its just time to count the days till it comes.

Thanks for the info.

Hey guys, I was wondering what temps idle/load do you get with those tornados and YS techs? Im just using a plain old antec that runs at 2600, not sure about the cfm but i get like 36C idle and 41 full load.

Those antec fans usually put out around 30-34cfm. Temps will vary system to system. Depends on components, case and room temp, cpu and how you applied compound. My temps scroll down here using a ys tech and a tornado.

I can't comment on the 900a but I can tell you the 947 won't fit without a mod. I'm also using a Shuttle AN35-N Ultra. I had to get a hacksaw and cut one of the corners on the mounting device to get it to fit because of a capacitor. Just a heads up incase you were looking at that one.

I haven't got my 900a yet, it in the shipping process. When it arrives I will let you know. The ys-tech temps are in the same link that blade posted here.
