I have a P4 3.06B cpu and my brother has an extra 865PE (Asus P4P800)

Would I be able to run the B Cpu on this newer board just like I would on a 845E system? I remember reading somewhere that I wouldn't be able to clock the 3.06B at its top speed if i ran it on a 865PE but i can't seem to search for those posts very well. Any insight would be appreciated before I do ahead and do the swap.

Hey, I forgot to tell you that if you have 2 sticks of ram, it will run in dual-channel, which really increases performance with the P4's.

Hi.
You can either run it in dual channel with pc2700, or buy low latency pc3200.

This will offer greater performance increase.
