Will a 9700 pro work on a mobo limited to 4x AGP?

I have a AK31A Shuttle mobo and it does only 4x AGP but a 9700 Pro obviously supports 8x agp.

So will it work and if so is it crippled running at 4x AGP?

Yes it will work, and no it won't be crippled. You will lose virtually no performance.

BUT!!!

if you're on a 4x board, you will be crippled by your processor/ram/fsb.
