You ever notice how some articles just have WAY too much detailed information that shows that someone has way too much time on their hands?

I was looking at getting some DVDs for my daughters birthday coming up. When looking for Dora the Explorer stuff, the wiki article showed up in the Google search results. I clicked on it knowing that it was going to have much more information than anyone should know about Dora, and I wasn't disappointed. Detail about every character they've EVER talked to, the plot for every show, etc. In particular, the section about Swiper the Fox is quite funny.

Without making this into a P&N thread, what are some articles you've found that have more information about a subject than anyone should care to know?

You are a little behind in time. I think kids have moved on to Nihao, Kai-Lan. You know keeping up with PRC?

Well, we're in the information age.

Eventually we'll need to get to a point where we won't have time to absorb all of the information out there, and it will need to be uploaded directly into our minds.

As long as there are legitimate references.. it is fine with me. The more imformation, the better.

What grinds my gears is when, especially in articles dealing with history, they cite references to opinion columns/articles(To be fair, there is serious unavailability of official documents regarding controversial topics).

I'm more disappointed when the wikipedia page has to little information. I appreciate a good page, no matter how mundane the topic.

Perhaps it's a guilty pleasure then? I also appreciate a good Wiki page, no matter how archaic the topic.

She's probably even a bit too young for Dora so she hasn't even gotten into any particular shows. It's SOMETHING we can watch together that she visibly enjoys.

I'm sure I'll get into all that when she gets to the point where she can operate the remote!

I hate (love) that I read one article, but then open up 5 other articles based on the links in the article I'm reading.

dude just pick any anime series, some weeaboo has probably written a whole dissertation about it

Although the detail they go into for children's series is pretty weird considering it's meant for kids...

Over the course of the series, it is shown that there is more to Swiper's character than an urge to swipe things. In one episode it was revealed that Swiper has a soft spot for puppies, and in another that he likes Cowboy cookies.

Um, OK. I had no idea Swiper the Fox is such a subtle and complex character.

The interaction between Dora and the antagonistic fox also reveals the kindness and grace of Dora's character.

Wow.
